Title: Stelvio ECU rubber boot install
Post by: tonyduc on March 09, 2015, 04:37:51 PM
I am installing a rubber boot protector for the ECU per this recall notice
Protection of electronic control unit cod.883968

The procedure in this post http://www.guzzitech.com/forums/threads/ecu-location-and-removal.3165/ shows ECU removal but not how the boot goes over the ECU.

Does anyone have a procedure on how the boot is positioned over the ECU then mounted?

I can have a dealer do this but I am 2+ hours away and I am doing an OEM heated grips install anyways (requiring partial removal of the side panels), so might as well do it myself.

Thanks
Tony

I suppose you have the small tank, then it goes on like a hoodie.   I took different approach with my 2012. I put it on upside down, I think wheel spray might do more harm than a bit of rain, if it comes there at all. I made a i/2 inch hole in bottom so it won't fill up with water, in case...
