South Eastern U.S. Meet and Greet September
« on: July 12, 2020, 07:27:41 PM »
September 25th-27th 2020!

Mark your calendars.  The Meet and Greet for us Guzzi riders will be on September 25-27th 2020 at Fall Creek Falls State Park, in the area of Pikeville, Tennessee.

Fall Creek Falls State Park is Tennessee's largest and most visited state park. The park encompasses more than 26,000 acres laced with cascades, gorges, waterfalls, streams and lush stands of virgin hardwood timber.

I have reserved a campsite in Area "C", number C150, if any of you want to camp together/adjacent etc so we can all be in the same general area.
Get your reservations in NOW and let me know if you have reserved a site/are coming.

Woo hoo....looking forward to this nice meet and greet with nice riding roads and attractions to take in or just enjoy your campfire!  Come on....lets go!!          :bike-037:

The cookie jar cafe in Dunlap is only like 30 miles from the campground too.  In case anybody wants to go out to eat there sometime.  Its a good place to eat.  I know there is a restaurant at the State Park too at the lodge but im not sure if that is open.  Will be fun!

MotorMike has very nicely volunteered to lead some nice rides on the weekend.  This is from Mike.....  Thanks a lot for stepping up to the plate and volunteering Mike!  ....

"Bob: just throwing out some suggestions for the Fall Creek Falls weekend in Sept.   if there is interest, I have a couple of nice 130-160 mile loops in Ride with GPS I could lead on Saturday.  The nicest one loops up around Center Hill Lake.  I usually stop to eat at a place called Twisted Oaks, on 70.  Lots of seating (assuming it stays open with the --19 issues!)  I could also lead a breakfast ride Sunday morning down to Jim Oliver's Smokehouse restaurant in Monteagle.  The place has been serving up a pretty good breakfast years...since 1960!  I've eaten there many times.  Lots of table space and open on Sundays.

Another neat place close to Fall Creek Falls (only 38 miles away) is the Depot Bottom Country Store in McMinnville.  A great little lunch stop, small and always busy.  Closed on Sundays though.

So there will be rides for those who want!  Woo Hoo!!   :bike-037: :thumb:

I met @twowheeladdict on a dual sport ride last weekend.  He informed me of this camping meet and greet.  Currently there are no camping spots available, so I'll keeping checking the site for cancellations.  If no site becomes available, my parents still live in Dunlap where I grew up.  I could stay there and come up early Saturday morning.

Also, there is a chance I might have to ride my Suzuki DR650.  My MG V7 III has been weeping oil from the rear hub so it has an appointment with the shop, so keep the hazing to a minimum.

I just had a little Medical procedure, which is going to knock me out of the weekend. I reserved spot 170, which is on the row with the other riders Ive seen going. If you want, I'll let you have it before I cancel it. Hopefully this procedure (stem cell BMAC into my knees) is worth the missed trip.

I assume you had to pay when you reserved?  If you would rather cancel it, I could probably get it before anyone else if you let me know when you cancel it.
