Title: Looking for cable making supplies
Post by: bigbikerrick on June 10, 2021, 03:45:07 PM
Hello folks, I have for quite a few years made my own cables using supplies from Flanders. They carry all the different ends, and fittings in all different sizes, but I have recently tried to put in an order with them , so I could make a new front brake cable for my Eldorado, and their website for ordering, did not work. Does any one know if they have gone out of business? Is there another merchant any of you have used for cable making stuff? I looked at Motion Pro, and Barnetts, and neither have much selection for the "roll your own" cable making person.
thanks
Rick.

I had the same experience with the web site, so I called them.
They confirmed the site doesn't work and they can take orders via email.
That was a week ago for me, but still no response.
I guess we have to keep calling.

There was a thread about other places recently. Search for "cable"

The website sucks to place orders. I look up what I need, get the numbers and call the order in

I have used Venhill in the past.  It looks as if they sell individual cable parts.

Thank you for the responses, gentlemen. I will call Flanders with the parts numbers. Thanks for the Venhill alternative, too.
Rick.
