Title: MotoGP will be broadcast on BEIN Sports in the US
Post by: Aaron D. on February 24, 2016, 01:58:50 PM
The final connection to Speedvision/Fox has been cut.

I wonder how many will follow MotoGP now?

Never heard of BEIN Sports.
Maybe why THIS is why Indy cut the cord ?

Very large in the EU mostly Spanish(owned).

BIEN covers all kinds of sports like foot ball (soccer).  Dish carries it and their broadcasts are very well produced and usually a couple of hours in length (or more). Much better than the FOX coverage IMO.

I think my cable company carries it but it's not part of my package.

I have UVerse and BeIN is not free at the U200 level. Fox Sports was. I am currently researching the costs/options.

Oh good!  Now I can finally get rid of Spe I mean Nascar TV.  The ruining of that channel is complete!  :violent1:

I think my cable company carries it but it's not part of my package.

I know you all think I am a mild mannered type but this burned my butt.

So I called my cable company and they told me it was another $10.  And I said crap no.  Then they sent me to a manager and she could do it for an extra $1.99.  And I said I was paying enough and I wasn't even getting Showtime.  So said she'd check for specials.

So now I get Showtime, BEIN + the accompanying sports package and my bill goes down $11.

And she turned it on when I was watching.  And oh joy, I am getting fishing shows and crappy college  sports (not OU).

OK.  WTF was that?

UGH! This is terrible news. I too have AT&T Uverse and believe BeIn is only offered at the U400 level, very expensive and out of my budget.

I think Bein sports was carrying World Superbike, no? When I had Direct TV it was on their highest tier. Since I cut the cord I have a Roku and Sling. For an extra 5 bucks over the 20 buck basic channels I can get Bein. Trouble is Motorcycle racing is the only thing they show I am interested in. They do a lot of European Soccer. Not much into that.

Who is your cable company? I'm going to give them a call

what ever happened to wrapping tin foil around your TV's rabbit ears then tilting them just right  and being satisfied with the POS image?

The first race is this weekend but I have not been able to find the time frame, it was listed on TV Racer with a TBA annotation but today when I looked was not listed, same with Moto GP.

I've had beIN for a couple years now to get WSBK for $10 extra on Dish.  $10/mo. isn't going to put me in the poor house. If you're a real road race fan you'll pay the piper or whine.

You can get it by adding the sports package.  I have it with U200.

BeIn has a WSK season preview listed for today at 5:00 PM CDT and again Friday morning at 0900 CDT. I noticed Nicky Hayden will be riding a Honda in the series.

It seems to me the series has not been the same since Max Biaggia retired and I hope Hayden can add some spice to the series.

I switched from DirecTV to Dish years ago and have no regrets and get beIN.   It's cheaper in the long run, so why don't you switch?

With Frontier Communications I get-

Single residence phone service-$9.40

high speed internet+-$44.99

Dish network- $80.51

Taxes + other charges- $13.95 for a total of $154.70/mo.  that's $5.15 a day.

so that means FS1 will carry the races just like last year?  and on Bein TV?

Rea edged Davies (Kaw over Duc), van der Mark 3rd (Honda)
Nick was 9th.  Made it up to 5th but faded.  Well behind Van der Mark.
Production was very good.  Greg White and Roger Haden were on the prerace show.
The ads indicate that BEIN would also air MotoGP.

I had to guess when it was on because the show was "To be announced".

Check biEN today as they usually rebroadcast the race later in the day maybe 12 hours or so.
The guys here say the biEN will cover the motoGP.

:-)

The 1st SB race of the year will be on beIN @ 9pm Mtn. time today.  This year the 2nd SB race will be on Sunday, unlike in the past when both races were on the same day.

As it turns out that was the 2nd WSBK Sunday race.  I managed to miss the 1st Saturday race.     Like most WSBK races it was well worth watching.  :boozing:

Well I guess I can ditch my DirecTV sports package.  I don't want to pay any more than I currently am for TV and if I can't watch MotoGP then there really isn't anything for me to latch onto.  I have no hope that F1 will be any better this year and SuperCross/MX isn't really doing much for me this year.

I just spoke with Sharoline at ATT Uverse. Upgrade to U300 with BeIN HD and I save over 50 bucks per month. Good for one year with no obligation to keep.

I checked for the service and nothing 24 hours later. Soooo, I called ATT. 45 minutes later I was speaking with Adam in Houston. He works in the customer retention dept. He had no explanation as to how Sharoline screwed up but all is golden now. I stay with U200, free sports package, HSI 20 bucks cheaper per month, combined billing drops another 10 and no charge for two receivers. 12 months of goodies. Any one with Uverse should call them and navigate through the voice menu system to cancellation. That will get their ATTention pronto.

For those who cannot get BEIN on their TV service, I recommend a free subscription to the on-line version of Cycle News, which has excellent print stories of all Moto BP races the Monday after each race.  Excellent coverage of Superbikes, flat track etc, also.  Even when I watched on TV, I checked my Monday e-mails for the Cycle News for that week.

I live in a pretty rural area, so Direct TV is my best alternative. To get BeIN TV I would have to buy an additional sports package, $13.99/month with the first month free. They guaranteed I could cancel at any time without penalty. We'll see.

DirecTV is part of ATT. Adam explained the benefit is true 1080 transmissions.

Great suggestion, I always look forward to getting this each week.

BeIn was wonky this past week though. They aired WSBK and WSSP, but not both races of each, at least not within any decent time of each. I thought I was about to watch race two of WSBK, but is was WSSP.
