Billy Lane's Sons of Speed , whats happened?
« on: August 16, 2018, 04:08:13 PM »
Hello Folks, Do you all remember the boardtrack thing Billy Lane was doing a while back? I thought it was super cool, and was wondering if anything came of it? I figgured it would be featured on TV by now, but have not seen or heard anything. Anybody got any info? I added a link to the cool video that shows what its about below, in case you missed it a while back. I enjoyed re watching it myself!

He's been out for 3 or 4 years .....

LOL

I went to the 'races' at Volusia County Speedway this year during Daytona bike week.

What hooey. The only piece of crap that stayed running was Rossmeyer's high-dollar bike, probably dyno tuned in daddy's shops. And, her carb fell off in the final so she finished holding it on by hand. I give her full props for riding it at all, though. Overall, it's Billy's very old standard of building crap that simply won't run, selling it to the Rossmeyers and using their bankroll to try to get it off the ground. 2 old friends and I were there, and laughed that we could scrape together an old Schwinn with a Seagull outboard motor and win it all.
Something wistful and amusing, yet poignant.
