Knuckle Duster Head Protectors!
« on: April 16, 2024, 12:46:00 PM »

for my V700, I'm also looking for the Brass Knuckle style head protectors like I had on my first loop frame.  I can't find them anywhere, and they were soooo nice.  Anyone have a source?

Man, seems like 15 years ago or so they were all over eBay. Might have to get custom made. Wonder if someone like Joe Kenny could make them for you? I see he still has a few things on eBay.

I got these from Harper's, They don't look like brass knucks (or aluminum) but they do the job. I'm sure they have something for the loops

Head protectors on a Loopframe are kind of redundant - one would have to try really hard to get a head on the ground with the crashbars in place.

The ones in your photo look like they would make accessing the plug a bit difficult, without removing them first.

I know Greg Field had them, so maybe they were a Moto International product?

I'd check with Mark at Moto Guzzi Classics, Harper's, or Joe Walano at Guzzi Doctor and see if any of those guys have removed them from bikes and just tossed them into a box.

Woof.

Might have to get some stock and roll my own....  I really like those,  not really a need for them, but hey.

Maybe Joe Kenny??!!  JJKPGUZZI on ebay.  I've not seen the style shown/mentioned above in Joe's line up but he might be able to fab them.....they look like something that is in his wheelhouse.
