And these are young kids, seem super grounded (at least for now ) from rural Michigan.  If you like the Zeppelin-forward sound, check out Wolfmother also.

Yep, this is good stuff, I bought the album about an hour after I found out it wasn't Zep.  Actually, I thought The Highway Song was a B side Zep song that I had somehow missed and I was trying to find it.

I also hear a little bit of Heart influence in Black Smoke Rising, the whole album is just good 70's style rock.  Maybe the kids will be all right after all.

As a sidenote, if you buy the CD on Amazon you get the MP3 download for free, and it's actually $1 cheaper then buying just the download.  Download the album, then when the CD comes a few days later you can give it to a friend.  This isn't always the case but often is.

I was in the band room with the high school kids and they asked me what music I listened to.  After rattling off the usual '70s suspects I put a Greta Van Fleet Youtube up on the Smart Board.

They were most impressed!  Greta is playing a small hall near me in NJ but the tickets were an instant sell out to the scalpers.  I may go see them outdoors in the Summer on Randalls Island in NYC.

Nice little tribute band.

This.

They are super talented kids who love classic 70's rock...but...Zep is there. Been there, done that, little to improve upon. The catalog is readily available. I hope they find their own direction to go in. Kind of like Black Crowes, labeled as a rip off of the Stones early on, they built their own sound. Recent interview of Robert Plant had him chuckling at how the vocalist "reminds him of someone", but that he thought it was great. Should be ok, of course because he ripped of Steve Marriot in the first place!

But they've got the chops, no question.

Kind of like that Ukrainian (Russian ?) band that plays early Chicago , except no one can sing like Terry Kath did . Sometimes music is better left in the era it belonged .

Refreshing to hear young musicians influenced by music of the 60's and 70's. I also bought their album as well last week. i also see they are playing 2 nights in Nashville.

At this time I'm currently waiting on the arrival of the 7CD box set by Frank Zappa The Roxy Performances !

If you like rock bands with a female lead vocal, check out The Pretty Reckless, http://theprettyreckless.com/. I would say though that they are more Metal than Hard Rock but they have some good all original tunes.

I've seen a couple of Led Zep cover bands. Lez Zepplin was interesting. Also Dred Zepplin, Ramble on with a reggae beat was great!

Discovered these guys on one of my Pandora channels.  Being a fan of Led Zed, I dig the sound.
