First sun in a week so I got to use my solar dryer. Had three lines filled up. Anyone else on this list use a solar dryer?

Snow is rapidly melting on Cape Cod.  This time of the year any day about freezing is appreciated.  Best to all.

Here in central NC tonight is the last night, for at least a couple weeks, of temperatures at or below freezing. A few 60’s the next couple weeks, at least that’s the forecast.

It hit 83F today. Saturday on a boat with the wind was heavy jacket time until the protected dock, then T shirt.

I saw 49deg here in upstate NY near the Mass border..  Ill take that for Feb!  First real thaw this winter. There has been a lot of storms this winter, and while not as cold as some...  its pretty much been below freezing all winter. Working on getting the ice chipped off the driveway, and working on a few outside projects. Today is upper 30's what is OK...  but pretty windy. Not so fun to work in, but it will at least dry out the melting snow.

Tex

Always used a "solar-powered" dryer; never owned either a gas or electric one, even during my 11 years when I lived in Germany, and had snow on the ground in the winter.
All it takes is a few hours of dry air and a little breeze to soak up the damp laundry, once the wash has been completed.
As a bonus, air-dried clothes last a lot longer, fade much less, and the fabric sheds very little.
In a place like New Mexico, where I also lived, and the relative humidity can be as little as 25%, a load of air-dried laundry can be bone-dry in as little as 30 minutes. Lots of advantages, in addition to using the free solar and wind energy, a no-brainer for us, tight-wad Guzzisti!

The whole state is solar powered where I live.....Hawaii.  Kona is 187 miles SE of Honolulu closer to the equator too.

The usual humidity is around 10%.  We solar dry.  Took a little while for everyone to get used to it.  Electric clothes dryer before.  I unplugged it and sold it.  Electricity runs about $60-70 per person/mo.  🥺
