Last fall my dash started acting up, the odometer and trip functions would only register 8s across the display. Disconnected the ground wires and reconnected but no luck. Finally bit the bullet today and pulled my fairing off and disconnected the wiring going into the dash. There were no signs of corrosion but I sprayed the connections with contact cleaner, coated the plug with Vaseline and put it back together. Turned on the ignition, let it go through its happy dance, and what do you know, 63238 miles reappeared on the display! Nice when a plan comes together!
