GuzziDiag throttle/throttle real
« on: April 18, 2021, 10:50:56 AM »
Hello,

Recently I bought Breva 750. As this is my first motorcycle I wanted to learn a bit about it, so I read owner manual, maintenance manual, and few other sources. After that I've done fluid/filter change, valve clearance adjustment, tire change. Then I concluded that engine is not working as it should so I did cylinder sync, before I made differential manometer. Cylinders were out of sync, previous owner must have tried some maintenance on his own, messed things up, and sold the bike. I am not sure if he touched throttle end stop screw, so I equipped myself with GuzziDiag software and adequate OBD2 cable and connect all to the ECU. Now, the problem is this: GuzziDiag has two similar options. One is "Throttle real" and other is "Throttle". What is the difference between the two? Which one should I look? Thank you.

Have you read through the complete GuzziDiag tutorial ? I vaguely recollect some mention of it only because
it's different for my 2018 Eldorado . Peter

Yes, few times. It only mentions  throttle, not real throttle. Even on picture where it illustrates usage, is shown throttle only. Real throttle is option from drop down menu I discovered. I wold not bring it up, if mine reads equal values on both. But, throttle is 3.1, and real throttle is around 9, so I don't know what to think.

Next suggestion would be to contact "Beetle" at the , I think it's a Griso (?) forum . He's contacted me within a day or so of emailing him . Peter

I think the real throttle value is an option only the 15RC ecu has. The one showing 3.1 is the one thats what you want now. Since TPS can be reset with Guzzidiag or the dealer tool, the actual position can vary depending on the point where you reset it, set the base point for closed throttle. The real value is measured from the absolute zero position. It has no real value in normal use.
