Off to historic Kearny, AZ this morning...
« on: April 28, 2021, 09:14:10 AM »
3 hours, 203+ miles one way on "The Yellow Horse"...nice ride up through Strawberry / Pine / Payson / Roosevelt Lake / Superior, Winkleman, AZ.    Going to visit an old work colleague, Gerry, who is now retired up there.

Staying at the luxurious, and God-forsaken   General Kearny Inn for one night. Will file a report with photos. :thumb:

I've been to AZ many times, but always missed Kearny, sad to say. I have been to Kearny, NJ many, many times. Can't say that I miss it, after these many many, years. Maybe next time?  R3~
ps: The lesser version? 60 yrs ago had a mobile lunch truck offering 'Pay straimy sandwiches. Gooder 'n s***.' At the time totally welcomed.

Thanks, tazio!!

The clock is ticking and "The Grim Reaper" waits for no one...

Sadly, 2020 was "The Lost Year" from many of us.

I have had both my Moderna - shots, so this year, for motorcycle Road Trips,  I am going to make up for lost time.

Looks interesting. May give it a try. Anyone stayed at the Space Age Lodge in Gila Bend, Az?

Never stayed there...but whenever we rode to the San Diego area, it was always a tradition to stop and have breakfast at The Space Age Restaurant in Gila Bend, AZ.

Here is the infamous moto-journo Nolan Woodbury back in the day... :thumb: :boozing:
