Title: Where Does This Spring Go (Sport 1100 Forks)?
Post by: Dimples on August 01, 2015, 12:37:22 PM

Does the spring go on top of the washer or below the washer?

I'd say the marks on the indication disc (triangle indicator) are your clue if it matches. Look to corresponding marks on the underside of the dial.

Todd.

Those marks on the top surface of the washer (disc) could also be from the rotating knurled indicator cap. The spring was between the two. I just want to confirm that's were it should be. It also fits below it. These forks have been apart in the past, but not by me. The spring is not pictured in the parts manual illustration.

Spring small end down first, then washer, followed by the knob
