home now
Tas is almost same as south island all roads are twisty just the speed of the bend varies, hairpins to fast sweepers.
We maintained 50mph average all week, rain and shine
But after 41 years I have to admit this time I have built a better mousetrap , next one already in my head.
facts
8v goes further on 18 litres than 4v does on 2itres even if $, range or enviroment did not matter, just the weight is hugely relevant on top of the 100 odd lbs difference to start with
skinny crossplies wear out stupid quick v touring radials. Had to put new rear on lttle un now half gone radial wasn’t new but looks it except centre compound now proud ie sides show wear middle looks new.

pre 80 ok?
get early v50
lario motor or crashed v9 in it
perfect london bike, even more so wales or any country lanes, maybe not your south france fast run but use big one for that
chassis wise all i did
new tyres and shocks (ohlins but many choices)
forks oe but changed springs
delinked brakes
rewired with acewell speedo
thats it
