T-3 back home after a couple days at the motorcycle spa. After 16 years of living 3 miles off pavement when we lived in KS the T-3 needed a deep cleaning now that I am all pavement in NM. Local detail shop cleaned it. Imron paint job that has 75,000 miles and is 33 years old. Holding up great.

Wow, money well spent. I hate cleaning my bikes. Was 8hrs for sidecar rig. Mine are all patina, not much you can do for it but restore, not in my budget. The HD shops here have a detail shop, don't think they do Guzzi's.

I can't imagine (cough cough) paying (Guzzi content)  someone to clean my bike. To me, it's therapeutic..and.. while I'm at it, I can check out fasteners, wiring, etc.

I saved some work for me. Spent 3+hours yesterday and today polishing the rear wheel. Still have the spokes to do. Then comes the front one. I have some arthritis in my hands and can no longer do that type of cleaning without breaking it up into smaller segments. Have a good "clean" baseline now. Yea, nothing like a good cleaning and polishing to find possible problems.

I admire clean bikes and their owners that keep them looking good but, if mine was clean sho nuff I'd have to take a road with new gravel or oil before they put down the asphalt or a leaking septic truck or...well, you get the drift. My bikes are used to go down dirt roads to see an old ghost town or some historical marker etc.

I was at a bikini bike wash one time and they wouldn't even touch the '98 EV.
