"This is a museum piece, not a bike to be ridden on the road"  but...everything works.

I disagree. This motorcycle begs to be ridden. A bike sitting on a wooden platform with a description card in from of it is a sad thing.

I'm with you on that.  The only way a bike is truly kept up to snuff is if it's ridden on occasion. It seems to be priced reasonably for such a clean example.

I'm hoping (for the sake of the eventual buyer) that the bike is in shape to be ridden, at least as much as any 1930's bike is in shape for today's roads.

I've ridden thousands of miles on old rigid-frame, 12 horsepower Brits with 1"-wide single leading shoe drums and 2.75 x 19 tires and 6V lights and all ... BUT the current owner of this bike may think that's crazy talk, and that this bike should never be ridden on any road.

Or maybe the girder bushings and wheel bearings and such are in terrible shape and the bike really would be a death-trap on a road, hard to tell unless you get to it and see it ....

If it were mine, I'd have to ride...no museum pieces here!

Think about it this way: It's in an outstanding part of Maine, (but isn't it all?)
It's not very far from Owls Head Trans. Muse'; a wonderful place to visit. Go there on a nice MC day. Stop @ Moody's Diner in Waldoboro, ME. The place is famous for good food, its totally Maine staff, who are great fun, and the best homemade pies you can imagine. Moody's is on Route 1, Northbound side. Maine Rt. 32 crosses Rt. 1 in Waldoboro. AKA Waldoboro Rd.
There a neat small bar/restaurant on Main St. in the center of town.
The most fun on a MC awaits: Rt. 32 is a total hoot to its end @ Pemaquid Beach. ~35 miles. Have an ice cream and spank it again northerly bound.
You can't find a better place to put on a quick 150 miles. Even @ the height of vacation time there's very little traffic. R3~  Do not share this information.
