*** 28th Annual Iowa Rally Pics ***
« on: July 11, 2021, 08:03:38 AM »
Here we are in the big, booming metropolis of Elkader, Iowa for the 28th annual Iowa Moto Guzzi rally at the city park.

We stayed dry for the most part.  Some afternoon rain on Friday.   Overnight temps in the 60's and daytime temps in the low 70's.

Thursday early arrivals.

Someone else will have to furnish the details, but by Friday afternoon, there were 140 paying customers.
The Friday Iowa beef supper was quite popular.

And, most everyone was happy !  Look at those smiles !

Someone brought a nice bacon slicer

Two of these Eldorado 1400's showed up.  This is mine.

More

So, friendly town, cool weather and great eats.

I'm sure that some of the others will be along with more pictures.

Nice photos. I really should have tried to find time to get up there to check things out. Maybe next year...

We had a great time and provided comic relief setting the tent up in the rain

Great gathering as always! Nice to meet everyone. Took a trip to the National Motorcycle Museum in Anamosa on Friday and picked up a new pair of riding boots at J&P Cycle. Did a 100 mile loop on Saturday to include a pork tenderloin sandwich in Balltown, a ferry ride across the Mississippi at Cassville, a Root Beer at Potosi, and great views at Pikes Peak State Park. The weather even cooperated despite a wet forecast! And...great food and hospitality of course!

Thanks for all involved in putting on this top notch event!

We had a group ride to Stone City to this historic restaurant. Yum! Then over the 5 miles to the National Motorcycle Museum

We had to stop at one point and don the rain suits! Still a good ride.
