You two made great memories.  It's always discomforting to hear of such a special person's passing.
All the best.

You two lived a life together that most couples couldn't even fathom. Cherish the memories.

So well put.

So sorry to hear this, Bill. Gail was a sweet soul.

It's been three years since I lost Heather, also to cancer. I can tell you that you will get through to the other side. It will be painful, but you will get there. You are fortunate to have had so many good years together.

I remember speaking with Gail at several Guzzi events over the years in WA and OR. What a nice lady. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. I hate cancer! Yesterday was the 18th anniversary of my first wife, Deirdre's, death to cancer. Always a sad time. We were together for 28 years. Things will get better in time for you, and Gail's  spirit will remain.  Even though I am remarried to a wonderful woman now, I still feel Deirdre's presence every day, and am grateful for the time that we had together. I wish you well in the coming months and may peace be with you.

Sorry Bill. Always enjoyed visiting with the both of you. I cannot imagine what you're going through. The memories are priceless. If there's anything the WG crowd can do, by all means let us know.

Well, y'all...dammit. Thanks for the sentiment. It really is very helpful.
G loved the Guzzi group; she liked the rallies and the travel, probably the travel more than the rallies, but it was part of the package.
I am retiring at the end of September and will be splitting my time between Seattle and Arkansas, at least for a couple years. I intend to have a larger presence at the MidWest events beginning in '23.

Sorry to hear Bill. Always liked spending time with her at the rally’s. She was always a positive person and a joy to be around. You were and are blessed. We’ll share a beer and reminisce somewhere/sometime this year.

This one really hurts. My wife, Gail, aka Cookie, lost a 5-year struggle with cancer in early May.
We were married  22 years. Motorbike traveling cohorts for 24.
Never a pilot always a passenger; don’t you dare say she wasn’t a rider. She rode with me to Nationals in CA(2), IA(2), OR(2), WV, NM, CO & WA.
We went to Italy, TX.
We went to Luap’s thing in SW MO twice, Cedarvale twice, Mokan and Illinois.
Probably a 100 Washington, Oregon, Nevada and NorCal events.
If any of you remember a small woman from Washington, that was her.
Irreplaceable.

Thanks to motocruz, Bill, for bumping yours to the top as I had been traveling and missed it when you first posted and wildguzzisti tried to console you at this inconsolable time.

Many others here simply cannot respond — though they, too, grieve with you — because they understandably find the thought of losing their life companion so painful that they cannot put into words their own feelings lest they contemplate that inevitable event in their own lives.

We did not have the honor of knowing you two personally, though we may have met or at least been present at some of those rallies you mentioned.  Kathi and I also just used your tragedy to talk about the reality of that in our own lives.  We naturally want that inescapable day to be years away.

Until we all join our loved ones again, please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you.  Mine are always a bit lame; Kathi's are powerful.

Finally, your post confirms your travelingbyguzzi sig line, as you, Bill, are enduring with grace this crisis with courage and grace.  As a result, you and we all know that your "Cookie" will always be with you.

Bill & Kathi Hagan

P.S. I quoted your post with its pix so that other "Second Pagers" can see Gail.

Really, Tom.. there aren't any. Life goes on, and this, too, shall pass. Bill will get through this as Cookie would have wanted.

Aloha!  I stumbled across this thread.  Sorry to hear the news.  It always nice to see you two on the Mainland at different Nationals and also when you came out here to the Big Island.
From the Deep Deep South out in left field.  There are no stupid questions.  There are however stupid people asking questions.  🤣, this includes me.  😉
