Glad you guys made it back safely.  Between the weather and mechanical issues, it looks like you had some adventures.

Keep posting photos John!  I very much wanted to do the Black Hills this year.   Work intervenes.  This trip is still on my list.

Wow.  I’m envious.

Any recommendations as to routes?   Or roads to avoid?

MJPTexas brought a bunch of swag provided by AF1 Racing , including a $100.00 gift certificate we awarded as a second prize in the raffle bike drawing . I was really tired and not sure who won that , would the winner step forward please .

You're welcome Kevin! The bar @ Custer State Park was great! I had a honey glazed salmon w/ bowtie pasta that was GREAT at the restaurant. The Hotel accommodations looked good too, we stayed in a cabin. Nice shower and bathrooms on site. My only recommendation is beat the summer rush, I was told it gets pretty crazy.

Hey Wuss, where were you?

I stayed warm and dry at home during CV.  Every time I was tempted to go, it rained and the roads were flooded.  Even on Saturday when I was going up to say hi and ride back home, it rained.  I gave Dusty's Grolsch to my eldest son- one was enough for me.  BTw- I need to turn the fridge off in travel trailer before I forget.

But I did 2000+ miles visiting you in April.   :bike-037:

Sad news from Cedar Vale . Coral Ann , a long time resident of CV , and a central if quiet figure in the success of our gatherings passed away last Monday at the age of 83 . When we first started having the rally she looked slightly bemused by the idea that we could gather folks from all around the country in her little village , but in her roll as a woman who really knew what was happening in CV she came to be a huge asset and a stout ally . She will be missed not only by me , but by the community . So long dear heart , and thanks for everything .

I'm sorry to hear about Coral Ann. The folks in Cedar Vale are the best. For those that have never been there, everyone is very welcoming. You leave there feeling glad you had been there.

Thanks Chuckie , would it be silly to ask that we observe a few seconds of silence at 7PM Central time ? Coral Ann really was instrumental in helping our event happen .

Not silly at all. Quite a respectful thing to do.

A moment of silence and respect will happen at 7pm Central.

Thanks guys , we had about 10 counting both groups .

If you missed the moment of silence , we can do it again , it was short notice , this did rock me somewhat , as it was Coral Ann that made the arrangements for this years event just a month ago , she was her normal chipper self , even though she knew she only had a few weeks to live .

Yeah, I talked to her a couple of years ago during the great lost sell fone debacle. Hard to forget a name like Coral Ann.

 She was .

Coral Ann was a no nonsense Midwestern girl , capable of great generosity , but not suffering fools gladly .

Anyway , since we attempted the moment of silence on short notice , maybe we can do it again , if anyone is interested .

I sent her off last night, but I'm not out of bourbon yet, and Dorcia could help if you do it again.
