3D printing rubber part ??

I’m having difficulty finding the rubber piece between the velocity stack and air cleaner on the stornello 125.  Is it possible to 3D print something like that??? Any help or advice is appreciated

You might be able to do it with TPU but I'm really not sure, there is likely a better filament to get the job done.

I've used TPU to print tires for my creeper wheels, pullies for my bicycle chain, and feet for my ladder but that's about it.

TPU is fairly flexible but I'm not sure how it would hold up long term to vibration and weather. I still have most of spool left and I'd give it a try if you have good dimensions of what you're looking for.

I think there is any number of filaments that can be used for that. ABS might be best but I haven't tried that yet, I'd probably start with PLA+ and then maybe move on to PETG for outside use in the weather.

It should be quite possible to print in TPU. I have used it for several different parts. Do you have some good measurements or pictures of the part needed? it would likely need to be drawn up in CAD before you can print it. Unless someone have already made one and shared the parts, which is unlikely.

You'd have to send a pic and diagram with dimensions. I'd be willing to give it a try.

at work we use something called ninjaflex to 3D print flexible parts.
amazingly solid stuff , would be perfectly suited for carb boots etc.

I am pretty certain that it is not the same.
The EV turn signal rubber and a metal hook cast into the base of it. The rubber gets brittle and the hook comes out.

Yes, that sounds different.  The griso/quota and others have notches in the plastic extensions and when it dries out they break off

That looks very similar to what I had. I took mine apart, cut the stem to reduce bouncing around and the lever arm. Sanded both surfaces flat, cleaned and expoxied them back together. I found some 1-1/8” shrink tube with hot melt glue on the inside. Slipped that over the stem and used the heat gun. So far it’s stood up well. I don’t know how long term this will be but, so far so good!!
