Very nice campground.  I hated to leave so early but when I got home at 1:00 Saturday, I had a 103* fever.  The moldy tent wiped me out.  I slept all day and night and felt like new again on Sunday to put in 8 hours at a dentist office upgrading all their stuff and then home in time to mow before dark..

No rest for the wicked.  What's scary is I don't remember the last 45 miles of my ride home...

Sickbay--glad to hear you made it home from Cedir Veil.

PJ and I thought you had kept going to Louisiana.     Paul also stopped in Paris last night.

1st decision of the Supreme Guzzi leader of the Cedar Vale Commune - Add another bathroom!  :)

We could suspend a giant screen inside the barn and show movies as well next time...maybe even a Moto GP race or two and we could alternate commentators!  That would be almost as amusing as the camp fire discussion on Marquez/Rossi!

What a great place, great people, great camping, perfect weather...thanks to Dusty and Delrod for a really great gathering of the Guzzisti and to all who showed up...it was great fun!

What the hell, Dusty, two bikes from Alma,Arkansas and no a mention.

We enjoyed the outing and meeting many people that I had only known on the forum.

Rocker 59, I must apologize, I hello but could not remember your name. Old age allows you to meet new people almost every hour.

We enjoyed the venue and the turn out, we did not enjoy the wind on the way back home. Harrelyn's GPS went out and the wind was taking her strength away at an alarming rate, but it was her first ride of the season. After a few days rest she will be ready again.

Dusty you and DelRod did Yoeman's work for the rest of us, THANK YOU both.

Next year?

Made 3 more miles before the Holiday Inn Express. I'm not a comedian, but I stayed at...... well, you get it... Looking forward to next Ceder vail.....

No worries.  Good to see you both out riding!

we did not enjoy the wind on the way back home.

Man!  It was fierce, wasn't it?  The wind was a little gusty heading east to Joplin, but not too bad.

But, when I turned south at Joplin, it was nasty.  25-30 mph south wind straight in the face.  Add 70ish mph rolling speed, and that last 70 miles was pretty tiring, the Dart Flyscreen showing it's limitations.

I thought it was time I said something so I want to thank everyone for the presence of my being there I know its the least I can do  I would like to think I was somewhat responsible for the success of the Cedar Vail (nar) however a small amount of credit should go to OLD BIKE +DELROD for making this class act not a rally possible  and lets not forget MRS DELROD,ya know she offered to clean my windshield, what a gal huh!!! I went around the campground and salvaged all the beer I could find, hey that was a pretty good hall  Two wings left some  1543 for me + I must say Im gonna visit there brewing facilities next week when I visit DENVER :thumb: I was invited ya know it says so on every bottle!!! Thank you MR. Broken Wing :boozing: While Im ranting on Id like to suggest the name of CEDAR VALE (nar) be changed to CEDAR VAIL FAMILY REUNION :weiner: Thanks to every one your a great group :1:

Well having breakfast in needles ca this morning on the last leg!

Yesterday was special with wind across NM and AZ 32 gust to 52 out of the SW. Flagstaff had heavy snow in places with that wind but the temp was 37* so not slick.

This am light winds to cross the Mojave (144 miles of nothing). Faring rattling but hanging in there!

Thanks to Mr. D and Delrod and wife!! a very good bunch indeed.
Happy to hear that big john and tim made it home with no oil leak!!!(check that vent!)

Headed to SEA tomorrow and back to work.

Cedar Vale is a real jewel!!!Looking forward to #6.

:-)

P.S.

Nice to meet some of the people on the forum..that makes it extra special!

And thanks to PJPR01 for the great stickers!!

Dusty recognized the "original six" at the first Cedar Vale rally. It's growing nicely. Well done. A few more pics.

I'm not sure if I am posting pic's correctly. The only way to know is hit the button. Here goes. Apologies in advance.

You know what? I give up trying. I have "modified" this post a half dozen times and can't seem to get any pic's to work. Look's like enough people are doing it correctly so the others have an idea of how the weekend went. I'm done with this electronic crap for today. Think I'll hit the garage for a while. Thanks again to Dusty and crew. Until next time.

Watching the weather pattern, we certainly lucked out with some incredible 4 days of sunshine and perfect weather for this year's Festival under the pines at CV...just a few days later and I'm afraid tents and motorcycles would be blowing over at Hewins Park.
