Vintage dealer stickers
« on: May 10, 2023, 07:34:07 PM »

This is on the rear fender of my '69 V7 750.   Is anyone familiar with this dealer? I believe it's Milwaukee.  Perhaps the original dealer? How about sharing a photo of a dealer sticker on your Guzzi.

Very cool sticker.  The bygone days of Guzzi dealers.

The closest I can come is the decal on my '66 BMW R69S

Looks like Pokes cycle company is now a restaurant.  I found an article about the company history.    https://archive.seattletimes.com/archive/?date=19970803&slug=2552811

looks like it may be from an Italian dealer. Have you researched the decal any?

It’s definitely an Italian dealer sticker but so much is missing that I have not been able to trace the origin

At least a dozen have come and gone in Illinois in the last 20 years and plenty more in the surrounding states, but no stickers on mine.

This is on the rear fender of my '69 V7 750.   Is anyone familiar with this dealer? I believe it's Milwaukee.  Perhaps the original dealer? How about sharing a photo of a dealer sticker on your Guzzi.

Fond du Lac is a small city northwest of Milwaukee, at the bottom of Lake Winnebago (hence the name, in French). But I don’t know that dealer.

Sportsmen's Exchange was located in Milwaukee, WI at '23rd and Fond du Lac' (Avenue).

found a little info about Fenners cycle barn. Appears to have been in business until 1981. Here are a couple of pages with some info. An obituary on the owner Louis Fenner and a Barret Jackson auction record for a Suzuki moped from the shop in 1981.         https://obituaries.ljworld.com/us/obituaries/ljworld/name/louis-penner-obituary?id=48821724.              https://www.barrett-jackson.com/Events/Event/Details/1981-SUZUKI-FA50-MOPED-261584
