Star Trek, Strange New Worlds
« on: May 27, 2022, 05:47:02 PM »
I just finished watching the 4 episodes on Paramount+.

It is very good, much better than Voyager, Deep Space Nine (although it did get better in the last couple of years), could be better than Enterprise (Scott Bakula), time will tell.

Visually, it is better than TNG (my favorite), but only time will tell how it compares in the long run.  Much better sets and computer graphics are very well done.

Agreed. This is the most 'Star Trek' of any of the more recent offerings. Discovery other than season 1 was a soup sandwich dramatic breathy mess. Pickard was good, but Strange New Worlds is very good so far.

I havent seen it, but want to. Loved TNG back in the day, and really thought Enterprise deserved so much more love and some more seasons. Never connected with Discovery

I've watched all the Star Trek series and have been somewhat disappointed with the more recent offerings. The first episode of Strange New Worlds gives me hope as I found it enjoyable to watch.

The new offering are too "woke" for me. Watched Picard right up until they made 7 of 9 gay.  That was down-right painful!
