New 20 ounce tumblers available now! Forum donation credit with purchase. https://www.wildguzzi.com/Products/products.htm#Tumbler
$1,700 for a Tonti-framed bike with a 1000cc round-fin, iron barrel engine, and triple disk brakes. Just add a 5-speed manual, and you've got the basis for a cool cafe or whatever you wanna make it custom Guzzi! If that was local, I'd be real tempted to buy it and build a V7 Sport or 750S homage!
...and flywheel, clutch, different timing cover, u-joint and driveshaft, rear drive...
Leave it as a Convert. They're far too much fun to ruin as yet another awful pseudo Cafe. If you take the time to get used to the torque converter you'll be Converted. I certainly am. I love mine.
In the end probably cheaper and certainly much easier to start out with a T or a G . Of course then you have people like Rodekyll who puts a 'Vert transmission behind a 1200 in a trike Dusty
Or, best of both worlds: dress it up as a 750S3, but leave all the Convert drivetrain intact.
People like you, Charlie, are what make this forum great. So much knowledge here!True. A G would be a great starting place.I'm must not an automatic transmission fan, in bikes or cars. But, I promise, for those of your Convert fans out there, I won't "cut one up" into a cafe.

Have you ever ridden a Convert? Spend a while in the saddle of one and you might be Converted. I'll let you ride mine sometime, if you'd like.
That didn't take long, the ad is deleted. Anyone here snag it?
Is it rude to ask, when you accelerate away, is there a changing of gears automatically, or is it more like a constant speed (rpm) type of thing ?
torque converter, camshaft, cooler, tank, hoses . . . . .
Update: of course, it's in the wg classifieds, doh!
I was responding to Jay's post: $1,700 for a Tonti-framed bike with a 1000cc round-fin, iron barrel engine, and triple disk brakes. I was just piling on. It's a complicated conversion.
Those mufflers might be Zito mufflers.TOMB
