Motorcycles, cars, buses & trucks have them.  Serious bicyclists have them.

All I can be sure of is that no Italian invented putting a rear view mirror on anything that was self propelled. It only matters what’s ahead, I no care whatsa behind me!

I always wonder why a horn is installed. And is required safety equipment in some States.  It is illegal to use in the State of Indiana.  Only allowed in an "emergency" situation.  But "emergency" is not defined in the state I.C. code.

Riding with one hand only is illegal also.

I'm too busy looking at the road.     I had them to my V7Sport as well as pod filters.

they credit Ray Harroun first winner of the Indy 500 with inventing the rearview mirror.  He didn't need a riding mechanic to look out for him.  I'm not sure I believe it.

if you're a boomer and race nut. you'll appreciate this "What's My Line?" show.  AJ & Ray on the same show, celebrating the 50th Anniv Indy "500".

I don’t know who invented them but I hate not having them. I keep swapping mirrors out on bikes and then end up on the road wondering what is behind me.

Well, they did make an entire Hollywood movie about the guy inventing intermittent windshield wipers... perhaps they will tackle mirrors next?
