NGC - DJI Osmo Pocket

Decided to order this camera https://store.dji.com/product/osmo-pocket?vid=48141. In my opinion great addition to my GoPro Hero 7 Black. If you are looking for a small, portable camera this may be it. It is definitely not action camera, but it looks like a great device when just walking around and trying to capture some footage. Most impressive thing is the mechanical footage stabilization built into small camera like this. I know there are few people on this forum which like to create videos and take photos when traveling, I'm quite interested their thoughts about this camera and if they will consider getting one.

A week with my new OSMO Pocket wasn't as productive as I wanted but in my opinion it is great camera to have. It will not replace GoPro Heros when going for MTB ride on single track but for anything else is very good option. Easy to operate, it start up in less than 5 seconds and is ready to record. The display is very tiny I have the problem to see even with my reading glasses on (I may need new reading glasses) but touch screen work very good.

One has to have smart phone with Apple lighting connection or phone with USB-C port, smart phones with Micro USB won't work when activating OP. Once OP is activated any smart phone can be used to control OP by wireless connection. DJI didn't release any accessories yet, rumors are they will be available in mid of January, 2019. For this reason wireless connection is not available at this moment. There are number of features which were removed from release version of firmware so when you look at DJI website not all which is listed are currently available. This may be of interest for Canadian, when ordering directly from DJI you can save some $$.
