2020 California Heated Grips
« on: July 22, 2021, 10:20:30 AM »
The 2020 California has a switch on the handlebar for the heated grips. Is there a part number for the heated grip kit? The dealer is telling me that MG never produced the heated grip kit?

Find your plug-in wires & look at the connectors, might be the same as a Norge heated grip kit. I don't have a Cali14 nor have I worked on one since 2016. I do think they make a set that works.

MG has a heated grip kit for the California but its only up to maybe 2015 or 2016? Whenever Guzzi updated the ride by wire and did away the throttle cables.

can anyone recommend the MG grip kit? I have been looking at it but on the fence...my cal-vin came with some nice aftermarket grips with a twist cruise control.
its not the end of the world...but you can see it from here!

I installed a set on my 2014 Touring. They are truly plug and play. They work very well with 3 settings.

No factory heated grip kit for the 2017+ California.  The controller and wiring are there, but they never made a grip kit for the new throttle control, and there are no bosses drilled in the handlebar for the clutch side grip.  You can modify an Oxford kit to use the factory controller by using 2 pin Molex connectors on each grip to plug into the harness.  It is documented over on the Guzzitech site.

An alternative is the Koso Apollo heated grips.

The heat control is in the left hand grip so a separate controller is unnecessary.

I have a set fitted to my Indian FTR1200S, they work well.

Ditto- my experience exactly with my '14 California Touring. Love them when starts getting chilly.

Hi all,                                                                                            7-23-21

Ditto on Kiwi Dave.  I installed Koso heated grips on my 2017 Cali 1400 Tour.  Completely satisfied!  I also have wind deflectors on the grips and controls.  Together they give control over wind and cold.

Be well, stay well,
