Pickup truck rear ended a motorcycle stopped in a construction zone, killing 2 of my distant relatives. Nicest people on the planet. He never even slowed down.  They were very close to home. I don't know what they will do to the meathead in the truck, but it will never be enough.

wymple -- they may have been distant relatives on the family tree but it's apparent they were close relatives in shared interests and character.  Please consider grief counseling.  Take care of yourself and of their memories.

My condolences to you and the family. It's a dangerous game out there we all face on two wheels. I've had so many close calls lately with distracted drivers, some days I'm ready to wave the white flag !!!

 They might ticket him for failure to stop but he didn't hit a car or truck so they will probably not do more.
 Impalement ala Vlad Tepes would be my choice though.

I'm sorry for your loss.
