1100 sporti throttle body options
« on: May 01, 2021, 04:59:03 PM »
Hiya everyone.  I have now got my sporti running really well and I'm loving riding it again . But I do have some issues with my throttle bodies. Weep from the underslung return spring on rhs,  also over closing on rhs which results in throttle sticking shut and a variation of + - 100mv when setting tps baseline.  Also slack in the ball joint of the balance bar and freeplay in rhs butterfly that I cant tune out . So I've looked on ebay and there's a good selection for under £200 . But it looks like there are different ancillaries between models . Assuming I can use all my ancillaries,  bodies from which models would be suitable ? Also i see some new triumphs are using f.i. bodies styled like olde worlde carbs. Hmm ?

The throttle size and TPS type are important, something the same will work. Just repack, reseal, R/H TB so it doesn't move or leak. Use the search it was just discussed a few weeks ago. The linkage is fixable w/new ends.
There are linkage ends that work, I think Joe W has them or look on V11Lemans site for them.

EDIT ------ Here's One------

Just overhaul them, here's how. I did a topic on it.
