http://www.motorcycledaily.com/2015/01/polaris-owner-of-indian-and-victory-motorcycles-acquires-electric-motorcycle-business-from-brammo/

Hmmmm....

"....including the Brammo Power™ battery pack and Brammo Power™ vehicle management systems, globally to a wide range of OEMs. As part of this transaction, Polaris will utilize the assets acquired to begin manufacturing electric motorcycles in the second half of 2015 at its Spirit Lake, IA facility."

Oh Joy, where did I put my can of contact cleaner?

Thats clever! Dusty  ;-T.

The technology may be very advanced, but I find the Brammo latest design style ugly. That large plain area around the battery bay is just too big.

Hi tech batteries...

Liquid cooled motors...

Fortunately for electric bikes the price of copper is going down! Look at the motors wire gauge!

Too late! I already stole it and sent it to all my motorcycling E-mail buddies. I did give you credit for the line, though.

Dunno, but it may come with a trailer with the battery pack stored there. ;D

I applaud Polaris' efforts.

They are always stimulating the dialogue for motorcycles in general and whatever that Slingshot thing ends up being defined as.  ???

With longer life between charges and costs that get in line, I could see adding one to my stable. Just to hop on and ride.

p.s. No it will not replace my gas M/C's…..

No one offered Shockcycle?  The Zapper?  Batt. cycle?
BSA already took Lightning and Harley had the silent gray fellow.
Thank goodness they are not built by Lucas.

"Amplemotor" for the bike with the most juice!  ;-T
Seeing how Polaris has a great dealer network established, this might fill a nice void.  Only having a 13.5 mile round trip to work, I've often thought a electric vehicle would be nice.  But the math just doesn't work out in the E-vehicles favor...especially right know.  Just throw the $$ into my '06 1/2 ton w/ 63k miles on it.  Wonder what a new battery pack for a Brammo or Nissan Leaf would be after 6-10 years of ownership?

They must really want a big presence on the EV market. A couple of years ago they bought GEM(Global Electric Motorcars) from Chrysler.
