Need a late tonti seat latch/cable

I'm looking for a late model Tonti (cali) seat latch and cable.  I see the pinheads have a bunch, but the $6.00 - $14.00 items are accompanied by a $75.00 shipping charge to Alaska.  I called and asked what's up with that, since lower-48 shipping is free.  They said "because that's what we're charging."  I guess they finally found a way to run me off.

Anyway, I need one, hopefully at less than Pinwall prices.  Who's got it?

Curious , how much is shipping from Seattle to Sitka ? Calling the Eskimo Spy .

Ask Pete at Reboot.  I'd bet shipping from Europe is cheaper than the pinheads quote.

I'm only paying $120 shipping for a pair of fairing lowers and mounts (and most of that is due to volume, not weight).

If you use the usps flat-rate box it costs exactly the same to send around the block or to any of the 50 states -- about $7.30 for the size mailer needed.  That's why excluding Alaska and Hawaii makes no sense.  And yes, in ebay you have to deliberately go through extra steps to exclude people by geography.  So despite the excuses that "We're not set up for it", or "Because that's what we charge", someone had to take the time to make them not set up that way. 

I sell on ebay.  I know how it works.  I think the real reason is that I've complained to pinwalls in the past about things like shipping headlight lens loose in a box with connecting rods or my crankshaft arriving bare in a box, half of it outside of the box.
