Would Like to Thank Cleveland Moto for bring a few bikes for demo rides

We make sure you will gain weight at our rally with a free friday nite meal. Pulled pork and corn chowder with the corn bread too

Mike the chef at Friendly Hills campground Cooked Breakfast and dinner

Mike out does himself with dinner Chicken side dishes dessert the whole deal in one swoop

Everyone checking their tickets to see if they won the 50/50 rally winner to receive $450.

And Guess who won the raffle?

Our own Ohio Guzzi Rep Zoom Zoom AKA John Henry

This years rally was in honor of Jack Arnold and his wife Joan, whom were active in the guzzi Community for decades, and one of their favorite causes.

The Fun Continued late into the Night, Campfire burning, Bottles of Dickel and  Crown Royal Clinking and something in a Mason Jar sneaking its way around the crowd too.

Evening never complete without Dave Blake grilling Stuffed Peppers to snack on

Anyone who can stagger into the hut in the morning has hot coffee and fresh donuts to help them get moving for their trip home.

For all that missed this rally you missed ONE great Rally. Time to mark your Calenders now for 2016, it will bigger and better.

More photos from the Ohio rally:

The Dorm from the 'high' side...it's a two story building and we enter from the rear...lower floor.

looking from the dorm down to the actual rally HQ area.  The cabins are those small buildings....AC but no running water.

inside the dorm, men's side.

Thanks to all who attended! I hope you all had a good time.

I would also like to give a shout out to Cleveland Moto for stopping by. Phil and the gang were a welcome addition to the rally.

I'll post this on a separate thread too, but someone left behind their Kermit Chair. Get in touch and we'll see you get it back.

Check the registration list for someone with a BMW ...

Some of you guys are getting in some real miles to the rallies this year ... I saw Dean and Howard relaxing there, as well as a few others that have been to multiple rallies a long ways apart.

I'll see some of you at the MD/DC rally, I hope ....

Dorcia wanted to go, especially since it was the "Jack and Joan" remembrance rally, so we loaded the Aero Lario in the van and pulled the camper. We'd never been to this site before, and it's a good place to have a rally.
Set up the camper

and started "exchanging information"  with old and a few new friends. It was pretty hot and muggy, but the occasional shower cooled things off a bit. Partying around the campfire went well into the night. At about 5:30 the next morning, it started raining in earnest. We were camped by the creek, and I had visions of Money Creek all over again. It was a cacophony inside the camper. That gentle pitter patter of raindrops turned into a serious roar. Lightning and  thunder were constant. I thought, it'll pass on by, but it didn't.  Finally, it let up enough to start breakfast. We had gone into town the evening before and bought enough supplies that I could cook all weekend. We eat fairly low carb, and rally food while good.. isn't that.  Like riding in the rain, cooking in the rain is fun, too.
Later that day, we went for a ride to see the big shovel. I'd looked at my aviation weather app, and it looked like we could stay on the back side of the rain. Did that. Took 146 east out of Zanesville, and turned south on 284. *That* is one lovely piece of road. We ran it for 20 miles or so. Absolutely no traffic, good sight lines, smooth pavement, and not much in the way of straights.  I highly recommend it if you are in the area, or come to the rally next year.  :thumb:
Guzzisti LED lighting..

Great rally, we had a good time. Thanks to all for all your work!
On the way home, we stopped by the AMA museum and I'll be darned. It isn't all Harleys after all.

Those are the roads I grew up learning how to ride.

Nice.  The only traffic were 4 wild turkeys. Saw them ahead crossing the road, slowed and watched them. Those boogers can run.

So, my pictures are here:

Definitely beautiful Guzzis in attendance:

Also, my fantastic Triumph Street Triple R performed flawlessly as a sport tourer:

But the rally was about great friends, lovely food, wonderful roads, and of course remembering Joan and Jack Arnold:

Many thanks to ZoomZoom, Andrea & Chad, Dave & Kathy, Cammie & Emma, Randy, Leroy, and everyone else who helped make this a wonderful rally by helping put it on or attend or roll in the fire!

Wait , is it even legal for the rep to win the 50/50 ? Oh well , having met John Henry at the Okie last year , and knowing what a fine gentleman he is , he probably deserved to win  :thumb:

Great pics and a big crowd.

PYoung made about 1500 miles on his red V7 Special (shown in the pic above) attending the rally, 600 miles solid going home. That speaks well for the small bike when outfitted for long distance running.

I'd post my pics but since I don't really remember even taking them I'll keep them tucked away.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.  It was great to finally make it down for one and we immediately felt right at home.

I was completely caught off guard by the amount of consumption Saturday night (in the form of bottles and mystery mason jars being passed around like a game of hot potato)...Sunday morning's ride home was a challenge.

Thanks for a really fun time
