My wife got a call from one of her students asking if we wanted to go for a ride today because she had just purchased a new Moto Guzzi and of course we said yes. She is 22 years old and this is her first bike and she is very happy with her purchase. We had no idea she was looking at bikes and had no influence on her purchase, but I asked her why she bought the bike and her immediate response was, "because they're cool", and I couldn't agree more with her observation.

You guys, she is old enough to be your daughter, grand daughter,etc.

Anyway, I just thought it was cool that someone young was buyng into the brand unsolicited,and not pissing and moaning about all the things that people are currently pissing and moaning about with regards to Guzzi.

Just make sure she knows that a small block doesn't have enough power to go on long trips.  :cheesy:

Just make sure she doesn't look at this site. One look at all the "I bought a Moto Guzzi and then my penis fell off!" Threads would render her catatonic with fear! Quite apart from the fact that if it happened to her it would be deeply disconcerting and leave her scarred for life!

I think the small guzzis make a great starter bike. My Breva "feels" like a small bike, they have  medium power with a lot of torque and the clutch is more user friendly.
About th same performance as a ninja 250 but without all the shifting and you don't have to keep it wound up all the time

Very encouraging!  Ride well and safe!

Agree that the small blocks make superb entry level bikes that a rider can grow into and enjoy for years.

My youngest daughter and one of her friends are both intrigued by riding.  Friend made me promise if I ever sell the V7R to call her first.  Unfortunately she now lives in Delaware, a long way from Texas.

She had to take the MSF in order to get the license. According to her mom she is not interested in any protective garments that don't fit that cool description but she was wearing boots, gloves, leather jacket,etc. and all stylish. We put on our Stich's and I could see she was not interested.

Let's hope this young lady tells all her friends how much fun she is having on her V7.  Maybe she can start a cult.....think Alice's Restaurant....yes, a snappy song to go along with the photo.  If this means she's a hipster, so be it.  I guess I'm one too (or wish I were young enough to be one) because I really enjoy my V7.  Once we get Leafman60 on a V7 we'll have proof that it's a movement!
