BMW. Probably a 650. That's about the closest thing I can think of to a V7.

I'd go with the BMW K1200S...today anyway.

If it's tourist season, why can't you hunt them?

My other ride of choice, 1993 Kawasaki ZR1100 Zephyr A2.  It is such a nice ride Honda cloned it and called it a CB1100.  This is my go to bike of choice when I want to go for a long ride or carry a passenger.

When I bought my Breva 1100, I also considered the Aprilia Shiver and Mana. I really liked how the Mana at that time but finally decided on the big Breva. Going to look at the Breva got me in the showroom with the Aprilia's so I may never have even looked at them if it weren't for Moto Guzzi. I know have an Aprilia Shiver in addition to my Breva. If I had never became interested in Guzzis, I'd probably have bought a Suzuki DL650 or maybe an SV650.

Harley Sportster Roadster. With a real gas tank. And nice looking pipes. Like the Sportster shown in this thread.

When I was a kid I started off looking for a KZ1000  or a GPZ of some sort before I was turned on to guzzi's. Seeing how bullet proof old kz's are I'd probably have a couple . I do still have a soft spot for zx-7's

The Honda six is absolutely gorgeous!

I've been following this thread for some time, and watching what folks pick. The more I think of it, the more I believe there is no real replacement for a Guzzi. I like a V-twin, particularly 90-degree twins -- the way they look, feel, and function. So it comes down to Guzzi and Ducati. While I love Ducatis and have owned several, they have become more and more plastic as time goes on. Not that plastic is all bad, but there is something about metal that is visceral. Harley twins are very nice, especially with the knife and fork con-rods that keep the cylinders in one plane. Bottom line:  I'm glad they still make Guzzi.

I was looking for a good 2 up sport touring bike when I found the Moto Guzzi Norge. It had the lowest seat height of anything out there with a standard riding position. I liked the BMW 1200 Sport Touring but I could not get past the 36" seat height and the equally huge price tag. I do like the Ducati ST2, I got to ride one once, it may have made the cut....
None of the Harleys appealed to me nor did the other ST bikes that were available at the time. I really wanted a V Twin (2010)

Back in `65? I considered buying a new 500 Lilac for $995 in California.  Maybe I should have instead of sticking with Yamahas then.  :undecided:   Have you owned 1?
No, never owned one. But I sure do appreciate the design. It is a shame the company never really took off with such a good concept.

I'd still be riding my CB750 SOHC as my daily rider, while saving my pennies for the CB1100.

Though, the Street Twin is on the radar... but the new Triumph stuff feels "soulless" to ride.
Old enough to say I've done it, young enough to do it again.

If you include old bikes, I'm sure I'd be able to find something. Probably an early Buell. New bikes? That's really difficult. There isn't much out there that appeals to me (one of the reasons I went out and grabbed one of the last Stelvios). I'd probably get one of those new sporty Sportsters (can't remember the name) or maybe a W800.
The new Triumphs *look* nice and are probably really *good* motorbikes but something tells me I'd already be bored on the way back from the dealer!

The Honda CBX 1015-6 might look awesome but they get terrible gas mileage like the Kawi. 750 triples 2 strokes do.
