Now I got some de-highlighting, painting, cleaning detailing and servicing to do :thumb:

Looks like a nice equipped one. How many miles? Are you planning to get it dirty?

This one has 68,000. Not sure what the ultimate plan will be but the short range plans is to swap the TT panniers/racks, Ohlins and Givi windscreen to my 07 GS that is getting motard'ed with 17" RT wheels. The Jesse panniers/racks, Cee Bailey windscreen and OEM shocks will go on the 06. Then service, clean and ride it for a while to see if it stays or goes.

Haha... so this a parts-swap bike. I get it. I bought a K75s for parts swapping once. Swapped out the Ohlins and some other choice bits, cleaned it up and resold it for a bit more than I paid.

A motard GS sounds fun too.

Sort of a parts swapper. I've bought a couple of these Hexhead GS over the last 15 months and the intent was to keep every one. I move aftermarket parts around to compliment the way each individual bike is set up then plan on keeping it forever. Just about then another deal comes up and something got to go.

If the motard GS pans out like i hope the Buell will go on the cull list possibly one of the GS's too.

LOL. I spent a good chunk of my life fixing up bikes. I think I've had 40 over the years. Sometimes three at once. The problem was that once they were good and didn't "need" me anymore, I'd lose interest in them and move on to another project. I was a compulsive mechanic and fixer upper.

Super fun hobby though!

Very cool bike there!

Thank you and I can 100% relate with the once they don't need me anymore syndrome.

LOL. Next on Oprah! Mechanics who "need" their bikes to need them and the women who tolerate this.

A celebration of co-dependency week!   :thumb:
