EV1100 fuelling issue

Hope someone can shed some light on this
My EV1100 is generally an excellent runner, but sometimes at low rpm in town, usually around 2000 rpm, I get a little hiccup in the delivery. Once above 2,500 it never happens
I also notice it very rarely happens in the colder months.
Only when the weather is hot.
It's quite unnerving sometimes pulling away at a T junction where I'm turning left or right, and the hiccup happens when I'm banked over, upsetting the balance.
So what I tend to do in that situation is slip the clutch a little to bring the revs up to where I know it won't happen.

That and clean out the air bleed screws & set at 2/3 open. Might as well re-sync TB's too, makes a difference.

What year of bike?
My 98EV developed a cruddy spot on the TPS once, usually was due to it sitting under the throttle body.
Symptoms sound similar. SOP back then was to check with meter to see if any dead spots occur while operating throttle. Kinda remember an analog meter worked best.
If found some would drill a small hole in it and flush with cleaner.
Seem to remember it worked for awhile but eventually I replaced it.

 Quick question........why do we have only all 98EV,  no 99EV,  96EV ?   

EDIT: I noticed any post is about a 98EV,  never a 99, or 2000, etc.

EV's started in 98 year model California, lot of changes from earlier models. Most the plastic bits got changed to metal. Run from 98-05.

Would consider the biggest changes in these models to be the ECU's.
The early one and my 1998 had the large P8 box.
99 and 2000, I think, had the 15m.
After that came the 16m. ----(edit, wrong)

IIRC, 15M was all the way up to the CalVin, then they switched to 15RC in 06 or so?

My 2004 EV developed an odd issue. At one 4 way stop on the way to work, as I would pull away from the stop, it would 'hiccup'. And always exactly at 2100 RPM.
It was not bad enough for me to spend much time looking for it. But I know that a new TPS did not help. Throttle sync never did help. Changing the fueling in the fuel map did not help.
I wonder if it is the timing chain worn enough to screw up the ECU pulses at that exact RPM.
My fix was to retire and never go through that intersection again.
