I did another track on my V7 III at Harris Hill raceway and it will be the last on the V7 . It's too dangerous with the exhaust dragging when leaned over plus the kickstand has to be removed first because it drags very easy . I could buy a Zard full exhaust and fix the problem but at 65 years old my racing days are over . If their was a V7III Fast Endurance cup in the U.S. like in Italy I would go all out and buy a racing kit from Guareschi Moto in Italy . I would like to get some Pirelli Phantom Sportcomps but I didn't have any problems with the stock Demons . My Yamaha R3 will be my track day from now on its a real sportbike and easy to ride .

You need to get off the side more and the knee on the deck to reduce the undercarriage drag although everything has it's limits.
Ciao

Ciao If you look at the 3rd photo from the top you can see my knee and exhaust is dragging .Zard makes a full exhaust that will not drag and you are right everything has its limits and road racing is not what the V7 is made for ....

Wait, wait wait a minute here- San Marcos has a track now? That's my hometown! I better bring a bike next time I visit family.

Even though you are moving on to a different track bike, you sure have some nice photos to print and hang on the wall. :thumb:

Interesting- I had never heard of it. Of course, I haven't lived there in several decades, so there is that...

Great town. Combines some of the best of Austin and San Antonio.
Of course I moved away from SA in 1984. So maybe it's changed?

771, if you ever do a track day at COTA, let me know, I'll stop by and say "hi." I usually work turn 20.
