I think she is a genius as she is going to use her adventure as the vehicles to get rich! I’m not convinced that this whole thing is not like the TV show, NAKED AND AFRAID as much of her adventure appears to be recorded by an outside entity. Either way, it’s fun to follow her adventures.

Well, I enjoy a perv as much as the next bloke but for me it’s missing something that the Long Way series had.
If she had a face like the arse end of a bus, some of the audience would glaze over, but at least we’ve been spared the mandatory soft core swim session that usually finds it’s way into these things.
Still a hell of a lifestyle she’s carved out.

....as much of her adventure appears to be recorded by an outside entity.

She has multiple GoPro cameras which she holds by hand when walking or riding and a drone, there's no one else following her around...unlike the Ewan/Charlie adventures.

Totally solo, which is what she prefers.  She is just that much more impressive now.

I would say she is having more success than the two Long way round boys at getting a sponsor.
BMW helped out a bit on LWR didn’t they ?
Also Snap On loaned them a pair of pliers I think..

what amazes me if the fact that the RE is running at over 14,000 feet. evidently the new ones hae FI but still she must be down to 10HP and yet has never said a thing.

I think the fuel injection is her friend and she doesn't realize it as far as the altitude mixture ratios go. On the last episode she gives a little fuel to a stranded biker with a translation that he is having trouble with his bike taking too much fuel. Well he is a low lander and would need to rejet his carburetor for the altitude. Not sure she knows how convenient she has it fuel ratio wise.  All interesting to me as a spectator. I hope she can carry on unscathed in her travels.

We've been following her, too. She's a breath of fresh air, a *very* good rider, who is actually using her "adventure" bike the way they should be used instead of a trip to the local mega bux for coffee or standing up on the pegs on their GS riding around the campground..
Dhanno also impresses me. He just keeps on ticking with little maintenance.

If it's not a CV carburetor, he'd have to rejet.

When Fay and I were riding in Colorado, my Honda Pacific Coast, which was my daily ride at the 5,000 foot altitude at which I lived, pulled us to the top of Mount Evans (14,000+ feet) without changing the way it ran in any way.

Those constant-velocity carburetors are miracles of self-adjustment.   An Amal or Mikuni would be hurting bad up there ...

My little carbureted KLX250S rode fine at 8000 to 11000 feet but was a bear to start in the morning.  It spent most of its life at sea level to 1000 feet.

Get a V85TT!  Or maybe a Himalayan.  My local dealer sells them for MSRP Out the Door.  No prep, no delivery, no paperwork fee.  Pay your taxes when you register the bike.

The Himalayan.  Allsports in Decatur, Al  He also carries Kawasaki and Yamaha.  I've been thinking about a Continental GT.

I have kept away from talking numbers on the V85TT at Sloans in Murfreesboro.  They are old school family owned multi-brand dealership that will negotiate on models that are slow movers.  Especially if you have a trade in that they know they can move.

The latest shows her battling mudslides and flooded mountain roads.

Remember, her YouTube video posts are usually a week or two PAST TENSE.  She doesn't want people finding or confronting her along the way.

So, her YouTube channel shows her approaching PERU which has now completely closed its borders.  In reality, her FaceBook posts show that she is already IN Peru and will have plenty of time to tour before approaching any exit border.

Her videos have really been a pleasant escape with the stress levels we are all dealing with currently.  Her attitude is really a breath of fresh air.
Her ability to speak the language and maneuver through these countries is Walter Mitty viewing at it's best.

Now that I have been made aware of her adventures I have thoroughly enjoyed them.  I doff my hat to her sense of adventure.  A pretty resourceful lady from all appearances.

Mikuni made a CV carb too. My VX800 had them, 36 mm units. That bike was a strong climber above 12,000 feet.

My GB400 had a CV carb, but can;'t remember if it was a Keihin or a Mikuni.  Jetted completely wrong for NZ.  Once it was out of warranty I fixed the carb that the dealers had four goes at and couldn't fix.   Went great after that.

I am worried that it will be impossible for her to continue.  If it comes to that I am sure she can eventually get home, but Dhanno will be difficult to transport back.

First I will say that I just can't get enough of her videos. She does a spectacular job of filming and putting the whole thing together with just the right amount of music and narration. This is the first adventure rider I have followed but she just takes the exact opposite of what most people would do which is see "the sights" and goes off the beaten path to see and share some of the most beautiful scenery in every country she tours. She has proven to me many times what a good rider she is and how she makes good calculated decisions as she goes.
Not knowing if she is only allowed a certain number of days in Peru I would say that she would probably stay if she can and then just let her viewers know that she will proceed when this virus thing is past us. (being positive there!) Maybe they will make her leave because she's a foreigner?

Okay I'm technologically challenged. When I google Itchy boots and Peru I can see part of her post that she is in lock down there but when I go to the site I can't read the rest of her post. Anyone here know the latest with her and what we can expect.

If Dhanno stays in Peru, Royal Enfield should step up to the plate and get her another bike when she gets back home.  She's put RE on the map.
