V50 ignition switch retaining nuts.
« on: April 29, 2019, 09:09:10 PM »
For some years my daughter's V50 Mk2 has had a hose clamp holding the ignition switch in place. Last weekend I got stuck in and made a replacement round nut to do the job properly. I also made some spares. They are made out of a plastic suitable for bushes and seem plenty sturdy enough. I have 2 spares and could very easily make some more if needed. I will sell them at US$20 each including postage. Send me a PM if you are interested.

Nice job!  Very professional.  I updated the ignition switch during the makeover of my V50 II because the new Zadi switch has more secure attachments than the original (spade connectors vs bullet types), but your mounting nut is probably nicer than the one that comes with the new switch.   Impressive.  Are you a machinist?

No, I'm not a machinist, just an enthusiastic amateur. Thanks for your comment.
