Looking for mesh gasket at the silencer

I have an exhaust leak between the muffler/silencer and the head pipes... not at the cylinder.
The clamps on the silencers don't squeeze enough to crush the existing gasket... it hardened.
There is nothing shown in my parts list, but I see there is something inside the silencer.

My pipes have and OD of 38mm and the silencers have and ID of 45mm.  Googling has not uncovered anything that will fit.
Has anyone found a compatible gasket to use in case of a leak?
