CalVin swingarm bearings
« on: September 20, 2019, 05:36:47 PM »
The swingarm adjusting pins on the ‘07 CalVin were very tight when I removed them today, much tighter than I would ever set the pins on two-piece roller bearings.  I assume they were tighter because the arm has sealed bearings.  Is the adjustment procedure for the sealed bearings the same as the procedure for the older style, or should the pins be centered and then tightened to a certain torque?  It looks to be as though the arm has never been removed before.

Yes, set-up is the same as older models. You don't need alot of torque, just snug no play.

Damn,  can't believe no one answered you. Everyone deserves an answer.

Thanks, Steve.  There’s no shop manual for this bike, and my sense is that owners of this model take them to the dealer for service, thus the dearth of info about them on the web.
