I guess one way to honestly evaluate your own image or persona, would be to ask yourself..
If there was going to be a movie or documentary that chronicled my life with an actor that was to look and act as much like me as possible, how would I direct that person to look, sound and conduct themselves..
Warts and all.. :embarrassed:

No problem.   Sean Bean in his Richard Sharpe persona ....
"Hard pounding, this, gentlemen; let's see who pounds the longest".

In a land of Harley's and Japanese sportbikes, it's fun riding the Daytona in crowds because people will stop and stare just trying to figure out what it is. As the rider I'm of minor importance.

A middle-aged mama on an MG/Vespa/Honda Met sometimes with a kid or dog pillion. :thumb:

Definitely the "cool mom" image judging by the kiddo smiles and doggie harness ... not to mention a bevy of beautiful Italian machines (and a one cool Japanese bike).

I'm an ATGATT type.

My du-rag wearing friends always ask why I'm wearing so much gear and/or if I'm planning to crash. So to them, I guess I project an image of scaredy-cat. I don't really care.

I don't get laughed at for wearing the riding gear but when asked about the getting hot bit I just point at the scuffs on my Gortex jacket and trousers and say that when we hit a huge oil slick that was the outcome.  Bet there are more oil slicks out there.  Tends to silence people.

I am sure that a lot of motorcyclists put you in a pigeon hole when they find you ride a Guzzi.  Slightly mad, a bit eccentric, don't know what to think.  Suits me.

I had ridden from SW Mo to LaJunta, Co. (all of Kansas and then some)  and a "chap" in a do rag, wife beater tee and ape hangers rode up next to me @ a traffic light and said "mahn, I bet choo are hot in all that gear" I said "I bet choo got bugs in your armpeets" Luckily the light turned green
