Oh My!

That red Eldorado 1400 is lovely!

When are they coming to this side of the pond?

PS That black Victory Vision copy is horrible.  Hopefully it's a one off.  Sheesh.

Nice kits! I think they will sell a lot of bits and pieces. I guess for those wishing for a scrambler, this will have to do.

From what I hear, these are 2015 models, not concepts.

The 1400 should now have its engine rotated 4° forward to match the V7 II family.  ;)

Not sure the Eldo is my cup of tea exactly, but I suspect a lot of the Red spenders crowd, as well as those who just like classically styled standards and cruisers are going to have a hard time holding on to their wallets.

I'll be honest its ugly beyond words, then again I think the same of the eldo although I'm not a cruiser buyer. While I'm having a whine can someone explain the appeal of matt gunge green on anything that isn't in military service or has been? No Le-mans/MGS-02 bugger!

I like them all. I think it's nice to see the same model sooo different. If they bring them over, I hope they sell bunches.

it is way beautiful with its 18" wheels and standard tail light style.

Rumba,

I think the article has it backwards.  The red Eldo 14 sure looks like its got 16-inch wire wheels, to me.

No Le-mans/MGS-02 bugger!

bingo !!

Miguel "Gallucci" while presenting the new cali 1400 said that moto guzzi is not racing, its cruising... its for fun.
I was literally shocked.( maybe he should have read this link and see what is the moto guzzi heritage.)

Time goes by and , well , i dont see any attempt to make a sporty motorcycle... nothing... zero, nada...
In Mandello if they want , they can.
But i guess, they don't want.
I keep hoping, off course....

Yeah, that is sad to hear. I hope he is just hiding the secret bike in the works... too well...  ;)

I still like the new V7 stuff, but instead of seeing anything sporty yet we see that Harley/Victory-esque ugly cruiser 1400? Yuck.  ;)

Though I don't mind them offering those things for other buyers... but it will likely never be on my radar.

Love the Cycle World quote: “If Roman gods had ridden motorcycles, the Moto Guzzi Eldorado would have been chosen by Bacchus.”  :D

More normal looking rear end  ;-T - the turn signals look a little low.

I would pick this over the big twin Triumph thingy!

I like it.  Well, except for the seat and the black fenders.  What's the deal with Guzzi and black fenders the past few years?

I'd like to see the red tank with the gray fenders.  Nice combination.

The seat looks funky, but that could be fixed with a Corbin, if it will fit the Eldo's new fender.

I really like the Eldo and the new colors for the Calis.  The V7s are just pretty no matter what you do to them.  But this.  Uh.  Future star of Guns of Malarchy?

Ahh, ok, now that I have some time to digest this and reply.

I have to say that I'd honestly written off the Cali 1400 because of a combination of odd styling, large size, and definite lack of trust of the electronics between Jay's suffering through the dash problems on my old B11 and of course Charlie getting stranded in the first 100 miles on his.

That said, the Breva dash thing seems limited to those years and the Charlie demand sensor failure seems to be pretty isolated, plus you only live once and WTH.

So if I could blend two of these bikes I think I'd have my pick of next new motorcycle:

Gimmie basically this Eldo (LOVE the fenders, striping, more classic look/lines):

Eldorado:

BUT I DON'T want the wire wheels or white walls.

Gimmie the black exhaust, black wheels and TRADITIONAL HEADLIGHT of this and I'm seriously starting to think about a deposit (and forgetting about the Scout):

A 1400 "Vaudace"with a normal headlight! Yay!  ;-T
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWCwJwlEfYo

Now Arv, I'm not looking to pick a fight buddy... BUT (you knew there was gonna be a "butt" in this  )

what i meant to say is that Guzzi DOES NOT have to dress up like Harley to sell motorcycles !

The V7 sport its' a nice bike of his own , does not looks like a hd sportster.
The california bikes are bikes of their own , they do not look like HD touring .

That particular california with 21 inches front wheel and hard bags similar to the hd baggers looks too much like a harley not like a guzzi.

Do you understand what i see/mean ?

ciao !

If that's what you MEANT to say, you did a lousy job of it  :P  ;)

No I hear you and honestly I agree more than I don't.

EXCEPT that although that fairing/bagger thing is NOT my cup o' Java either, I don't think it is a bad idea if they ape some of that cruiser style.

Baggers are IT now in that world.

Baggers are Harley's #1 sales leading model and have been for more than a decade now. By the end of this year Harley will have sold more than 1.6 MILLION touring models since 1986, and they are currently moving them at a rate of greater than 100,000/year.

The Street Glide is arguably the particular version of their touring models that is hottest.

So although I personally don't really care for that version, I GET IT and I don't begrudge them from making it.

And I understand why the sporting guys are feeling left out/let down right now.

But since I'm more a classic/cruiser type of guy, I'm gonna go on feeling relatively good about these efforts.

Wow, I REALLY like that Eldorado in red.

Except instead of the black leather bag set shown, I'd like it with this kind of tour pack (Wixom?):

For as many reasons as I don't like that concept, there are a few things I like about it...and most importantly I love to see that Guzzi is at least playing around with their look instead of churning out different color schemes.  It's refreshing to see them try new stuff.

....now if they'd apply that to a LeMans type model and play around with the 1000-1200 block a little more that'd be cool.  ;D
