Distributor parts diagram
« on: December 03, 2022, 01:37:16 PM »
I have in my possession a disassembled S311B Magneti Marelli distributor that I think is salvageable.  Does anyone know where to find small parts and or an exploded diagram for this distributor? I've googled around some but don't seem to be finding anything.

You need to look in a supplement for Mille GT or there abouts 1989. They are crap, only 1 sensor for both cylinders and it is at 89 1/2 degrees not 90*. I dealt with this when new. Nice idea bad execution. Bike will never be smooth. Most dealers pulled them & used a Bosch w/Dyna 3.

This is a standard dual point distributor.

Look in G-5 / SP 1000 parts   That will be 2* ignition springs

For 8* springs timing,  look in 850 LeMans book or 850T

Thanks Steve! Found some info on Greg Bender's sight related to o-ring sizes for sealing the shaft to the bearing and the drive gear pin part number. Didn't look at Greg's sight before posting for some unknown reason?!
