Got the shield mounted today and went for a 20 mile or so ride.Very impressed!!No buffeting and the mounts are easy to adjust. A really great universal shieldthat does fit a Guzzi! Will be a great fall/winter shield.Ride safe and often,Jeff
Where does the wind hit you now? I have found that shields high enough to wear an open face helmet also introduce a lot of buffeting. I have not felt the need for a shield on the V7, but I definitely can't tolerate cooler temps on that bike without putting on enough gear that I get hot when stopped.
By using the "hold hand up in the Windstream" method of checking airflow seems that the wind skims over the top of my full face helmet. Don't have any issues with buffeting. I have a Bell helmet, which I have never liked because of wind noise and while it is slightly quieter with this shield still isn't up to my liking. Will be replacing the Bell as soon as I can. Earplugs have made it tolerable...of course I use earplugs the majority of the time.Rode home in the rain after work today and was impressed with the coverage, especially around the hands. Seems that most of the rain was carried off in the airflow...of course as long as you are moving!!!All in all happy with my first impression. Will know more after using for more miles.Ride safe and often,Jeff
