Illinois 34th annual starting May 17th.   There is no better value on the planet than this rally!  For $35 you get $200 worth of fun!

Iowa 27th annual July 12th.  Another Big Bang for the buck!

Wisconsin 35th, for $40 the world is your oyster!

See mgnoc.com  rallies for more info.

What's your location?  I highly recommend the Western NY rally.  Also a few Guzziti attend the Bennington Triumph Bash in VT.  They don't seem to mind the crasher :)

Snow coming this weekend ... summer seems like such a long way off!  I'd like to imagine myself zooming through the mountains with a bedroll and tent on the back on the way to a rally, but all I've got right now is realizing that I need a new tire on my Ferguson before I can use the snow blade ....

I was invited to a Guzzi rally by a guy who didn't know me from Adam's off ox, I went to the rally, and enjoyed the people I met there so much that I bought a Guzzi and have been going to any rally I can get to since then ....

Many years ago when I was a new to Moto Guzzi I was excited to attend a rally and show off my craft work.  Joining Wildguzzi.com and finding out there was not a secret hand shake, all where welcome and asking a question involve sorting through fact, fiction and b.s.  Then there was the oil threads and what was the preferred oil to use at a rally.  I started having second thoughts about being a Guzzi owner.  The thread ran it's course, I won awards for youngest rider, riding the furthest, oldest bike and was welcomed by all.  Meeting many great people over the years.  I was hooked, 5 Guzzi's and no regrets.

Is there camping at these rallies?

Does everyone rag on the poor guy with the broken body who has to trailer his bike to the rally?

I consider most of them "camping rallies" even if there are alternatives (cabins, nearby motels, etc).  I really don't like camping any more, but I do it because it's the best way FOR ME to experience the rally (not having to leave and ride somewhere to sleep).

If you drive or trailer, you might get ragged on A LITTLE BIT in the best of all possible spirits, but it's a whole lot better to drive than to just not go, if riding isn't possible ....

We've had guys show up, and sleep in their pickup trucks.  No bike.
Nobody cares.

We sometimes trailer.  Meh.

Our days of long distance two up travel are over. I'll still ride to rallies most of the time, but if Dorcia is going, I normally just put the bike in the van and pull the camper.
It's truly no big deal whether you ride or what kind you ride. You will also see all brands at a Guzzi rally. Austin, the kid that works for me, was brought up in a BMW family. When he went to his first Guzzi rally he was surprised at all the different machines.. and people knowledgeable about all kinds of bikes. There is no official uniform.  There'll be guys in bibs, and guys in race suits. Just a bunch of gear heads of all kinds "passing a good time."

Are there any posts on 2019 east coast(ish) rallies?

One of the best of the east is about an hour or 2 straight west of you - the Ohio Rally in Zanesville - Labor Day weekend
The Rally in the Vineyard (WNY) is 3 or 4 hrs. straight north at the KOA Kampground in Westfield, NY - 2 wks. after Memorial Day
The Virginia Rally at the Willville Motorcycle Campground in Meadows of Dan, VA is the weekend of 22 June this year

The Maryland Rally was south of Gettysburg +/-, but I believe it has moved further east (Not that that's a bad thing....)
We've always wanted to go down to the WV Rally at Pipestem State Park in the fall, but haven't been yet - a bit of a haul for us from Erie
The Kentucky Rally is always well thought of.  Again, much closer for you than for us....  We'll get there eventually.  Fall-ish

Hope to see you [all] somewhere along the way....

There is no Maryland "rally" since the passing of Bill Sharp. Howard held a memorial Spring campout on the Eastern Shore last April, you'll have to check with him whether he's doing another this year.

The MD/DC Rally was at the Snug Harbor/Hagerstown KOA for several years, then it was moved to Little Orleans Campground approx. 10 miles west of Hancock, MD.
