Good for you making the leap. A long time Guzzi friend was going to move to New Mexico when he retired as they were almost prisoners in the home they had in OaK Cliff, TX. Well, he retired and the wife didn't want to move "just yet". Then after 10 years she got sick and he had medical problems and they never did move to NM. SAD!Tex
CO-139 north to Rangely is a hidden gem of a ride...enjoy your new home!
Greetings all! After Laurie and I retired we decided to leave California after 40 plus years. Many different reasons. Put the house up for sale and moved into an AirB&B in Grand Junction CO while looking for our forever home.Today we closed on that home! We are now living in Fruita CO. Friendly people, retiree tax friendly and views of the Coloado NatlMonument and Bookcliffs everywhere. Plus new roads to ride!!The pace of life is so different here and people actually greet you and wave. Very different! We are excited for this next journey together!!Ride safe and often.....Jeff & Laurie
If I were to move back to Colorado I would be looking at the West Slope. Otherwise not a chance. kk
Laurie asked about driving a stake near you just to make sure you had moved that day . Dusty
Congrats! It is such a wonderful area: so many great roads and sites in western CO and eastern Utah. We might move to the Montrose area after my wife retires this summer. Make sure to check out rt. 141 near your home, and rt. 128 not far from you in Utah.Jon
