Check Your Bolts
« on: March 07, 2015, 11:24:04 AM »
Checked a couple of critical bolts (engine mounts) on '02 EV11 and they were loose.  Kept going and nearly all nuts, bolts and screws were loose (even the windshield nuts and the muffler clamps).  Adding that to my preventative maintenance program now.

I'll bet she'll be a bunch smoother now. I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to throw some loctite on those loose culprits.

Yup.  Last week.  No change.  Hey, it's a tractor engine mounted transversely.  It is what it is.  If I want smooth, I ride my Kawa 1600 Mean Streak. My Versys buzzes annoyingly, but it's a high-rpm bike.

Yes, loose nut somewhere. Everyone agrees.
