Title: New Stelvio & GPR muffler deal on E-bay
Post by: spaghetti on July 26, 2021, 09:34:43 PM
It has been a few years since I last posted on WG, but I am happy to report I finally got my hands on a nice used 2015 blue Stelvio with barely 4000 miles on the clock.

Now for the perverse part of the story, I got the bike home from 4 hours away in the back of my truck, in the rain (In the rain. Before some bright spark, says only Harleys like truck rides). I unloaded it and promptly left out of town for 3 weeks of training for work. I am so ready to finally get to drive it. Haven't even taken it around the block. I am sure I am going to love it because my 2007 Norge was my favorite engine of all time out of every vehicle I have ever owned.

The former owner had just put a new GPR muffler on it and it probably doesn't have a few hundred miles on it. It looks like new. I am not interested in the added rumble or horsepower it could make for me so I took it off and put it on Fleabay to find a lucky new owner (the muffler, that is).

Somebody posted a pretty funny line today about "suspender snapping tightwads" or some such comment about our Guzzi owner frugality today that gave me quite the chuckle (although it cut pretty close to home).

I am sharing this muffler listing here because I am still stinging after having sold my black, fully loaded Quota on e-bay a few weeks ago. I had 65 watchers, well over 1000 views and two bids with the bike selling for only $50 over the starting bid of $2500.00.

Anybody who wants a GPR deal, now is your chance. I hope you will all forgive my shameless self-promotion here.

Pictures or it didn't happen.

I'd be interested, only because my stock exhaust is kind of shot, but I'm afraid shipping to Canada would be crazy expensive.
