I gave up trying to get some Milich special Rusty Bubs apart to repack them.. but I never even gave a thought to trying WD40. That's not what it is for??

Ya, ya, ya, tried them all. After years of working in a factory where the owner bought used machinery out of junk yards I found Knock 'er Loose from CRC actually works. If Knock 'er Loose doesn't free it up it's too late.

Penetrating oil / Average load / Price per fluid ounce
None / 516 pounds /
WD-40 / 238 pounds / $0.25
PB Blaster / 214 pounds / $0.35
Liquid Wrench / 127 pounds / $0.21
Kano Kroil / 106 pounds / $0.75
ATF-Acetone mix / 53 pounds / $0.10

The ATF-Acetone mix was mixed 1 to 1 ratio.

Yes. AeroKroil to loosen parts, and Tri Flow with teflon to keep stuff from binding.

Forget all the squirt on stuff and go straight to the impact wrench and 200 lb of air pressure. If this won’t break it loose all the juice in the world won’t help.

You won�t believe it but. Heat the nut or bolt a littele melt beeswax and wait a few min. 38 years in paper mill where everything rust.Rudy

Agree with rudyr. I also came out of a paper mill and tried the wax method. It works. That was always my last resort. Knock-er-loose usually worked before I had to resort heat and wax.
