Over 70 years ago I remember watching as a child left in the car pressed the starter, the old car jumped the curb and drove through a shop window, it made a big impression on me.
It was probably in the days when cars had a foot pedal to operate the starter, that's going back a while.
A motorcycle left in gear would launch itself off the side stand if cranked, kids love to push buttons, of course we would never disable the stand switch, but my old Eldorado never had one of those.

This one is more interested in the mirror than she is in the handlebars.  First time she asked to sit on it though, so we'll let nature take its course.

The little girl polishing the V85 wanted to read a book on astronomy the other day and asked if she could come out to the shed and study “on the bench..”

The hat she is wearing was posted to me as a gift from Calculon in the ‘States.
She loves it…!

Oh dear....!

I’m not sure everyone has realised, but it is not the same girl in both pictures, one is in Australia and one is in the ‘States.
I just noticed a similarity.

Guess i missed this thread.  that’s my daughter Carolina on an original alloy-engine 1972 HD XR750 that we built at the shop for a friend’s widow about 13-14 yrs ago.  Here’s the whole pic of Rollie Free (Carolina) and Superman (Caleb) on that XR, hanging on the wall in my office.

Edit.  Fwiw- after a non-stop marathon of motorcycles from Day 1, at nearly 19, she could hardly care less about bikes & such at this point.  Riding off into the sunset with some dude on a fast or loud motorcycle to party all night isn’t tempting to her in the least.  She’s seen enough of that via the idiots at the shop.   That was kind of a goal for me- I’m hoping she’ll rebel and bring home someone from the other side of the tracks, like a CPA or some kind iof office/career executive man with a paid-for new car, a steady income and all those things that are exotic around here..

This includes the requisite goofy pics from that photo shoot-

Her first bike and gas pump are up in the rafters down in my shop.

She and Boo (Caleb) rode a lot of miles on that little red bike before we got them a matching pair of almost new 1994(?) Z50 Hondas around 05 or 06.  Still haven't found pics of them.  As soon as he could, Boo rode his like a maniac.  She preferred that Daddy drove hers while she hung off the back giggling and squealing.  She did like to help with my shovelhead way back then
